Our Greater Princeton Area Hospital Family is currently searching for a self-motivated, enthusiastic and friendly team player to join our team. A hospital’s strength comes from within, and ours stems from our Team of client service representatives, pet nurses, and doctors. Our compassion and dedication are exhibited with each and every appointment we see!
We are a Small Hospital practicing Big Medicine. Visit us now at www.barkmeowvets.com.
Small hospital: We don’t carry the same big footprint of the corporate veterinary hospitals, and we are proud of that. We are small enough that we can provide a family-like environment for both our staff and our clients. We believe that a client-interactive approach toward pet wellness and client education results in better service and medicine. We can move quickly and provide our valued patients, and the people who love them, a more personalized one-on-one service and create a lasting relationship.
Big medicine: We are a full-service veterinary hospital that can provide everything larger facilities can (and sometimes more): from in-house blood analysis to ultrasound, spays, neuters, and dental procedures, to tumor removal, radiology, and nutritional counseling. We also have a great doctor to qualified team ratio.
Although we expect to see daytime emergencies, we have very strong ties to the many local 24-hour referral centers, and work with our mobile specialists in making sure those pets in need get the expert care at the highest levels. Associate veterinarians are not expected to be ‘on call’.
Potential candidates should be energetic with strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, outstanding work ethic, and the ability to work well in a team setting while providing independent veterinary care.
Our ideal candidate should have a desire for collaboration with colleagues and an ability to communicate effectively with clients, the team, and management.
Candidates should be motivated to grow personally and professionally, possess the ability to promote the business and maintain strong community ties, and have a dedication to exceptional patient care.
New graduates and experienced veterinarians are welcome. It is expected that our Associate Veterinarians work independently as sole practitioner for the practice while on duty. Our philosophy is that the doctor practice three skills: diagnose, prescribes and perform surgery. Our team does what they are qualified and enjoy doing so as to maximize the doctor's time with the clients and patient care.
Must have the ability to provide routine medical and customer service to small animals, including wellness and non-wellness exams, vaccinations and treatments.
Surgical expectations include ability to perform routine spay and neuter surgeries, routine mass removals, and dental cleaning with extractions.
Ability to perform other soft tissue surgeries, such as involved soft tissue surgeries, intestinal foreign body surgeries, and splenectomy, and ultrasound experience are a strong plus.
Additional Salary Information: Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. We offer a generous benefit package including paid vacation, health insurance, CE allowance, and license/membership dues.
