The successful candidate will participate in setting up and management of a target animal (dogs
or cats) efficacy study conducted at a dozen or more veterinary clinics and academic centers
around the country. Other veterinarians with considerable experience in veterinary drug
development and clinical veterinary trials will supervise him or her.
The initial assignment is from 12 to 24 months and could become a permanent position for a
graduate interested in the design and management of veterinary studies and development of
commercial veterinary pharmaceutical products.
This position is a unique opportunity to make a significant contribution to veterinary medicine by
developing new drugs needed by the veterinarians, the animals and their guardians. Study
results will be published in refereed veterinary journals.
DVM or VMD, some clinical experience desired, but an enthusiastic recent graduate will be considered
Extensive knowledge of internal medicine
Demonstrable verbal and written skills in communicating complex technical information
Familiar with digital data collection
Ability to work independently or in multidisciplinary team
licensed to practice veterinary medicine in at least one state
Authorized to be employed in the United States
