Seeking a full time or part time, compassionate, and enthusiastic veterinarian for a long established and busy companion animal practice in central New York State. We are looking for a dedicated professional with experience in general medicine and surgery, a sense of humor, and the desire to interact with and educate the clients and patients who have become part of our extended family. For the more recent graduate, we offer mentoring to help build career skills.
Our practice offers many services to our patients, such as preventative care, surgery, dentistry, radiology, laser therapy, and in house laboratory diagnostics. Our clientele is dedicated to their canine, feline, and pocket pets, providing a diverse and varied case load, and our support staff is skilled and friendly. We are located within central New York, approximately one hour from Cornell University, within an area of boundless recreational opportunities.
A full time position requires an average commitment of 40 hours a week, including Saturday mornings on a rotating schedule. We recognize that although we are dedicated to our careers, a balance with personal life is important to keep us at out best. The schedule allows for one weekday off per week; there are no evening or emergency hours.

A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
Licensure in good standing and eligibility to practice Veterinary Medicine in the State of New York.
Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude.
The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members.
Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets.
A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
