The Regional Training Director (RTD) is an integral part of the field team that includes a Senior Regional Vice President (SRVP), Regional Medical Directors (RMDs), Regional Operations Directors (RODs). The RTD works in conjunction with Regional Technician Development Coordinators (RTDCs), Senior Veterinary Recruiters (SVRs), and a Local Marketing Manager (LMM). The RTD performs a wide range of difficult to complex activities relating to hospital training as well as key relationship management. The RTD will report to the SRVP with a dotted line to Knowledge and Learning (KL).
This role will help support the knowledge and content management process at VCA and ensures that all regional training activities are supported by the KL department. The role will use a variety of delivery methods including classroom, virtual, and blended programs to deliver training to hospital team members throughout the group. The RTD will also work with Regional Management to provide process improvement support, coaching/mentoring and employee development to hospitals at the request of the SRVP, ROD or RMD. The position is also responsible for managing important relationships with key shelter partners as well as representatives of other established partnerships within the region.
This position requires an individual to be based in Northern California.
