Three positions available for privately owned, busy 7-hospital group with a 12,000 sq. ft. central hospital providing 24-hour hospitalization and emergency services. These AAHA accredited hospitals are located in the Northern Macomb area of Michigan. Facilities are award winning, receiving two Veterinary Economics awards for architecture and fully equipped. The technical and veterinary staff is experienced and dedicated with a board certified owner (ABVP) and several internship trained veterinarians.
The first opening is an overnight emergency/critical care veterinarian at the central hospital joining a staff of 6 emergency veterinarians. Duties include emergency out-patient care, triage of animals transferred from other hospitals, monitoring of in-house critical care patients, and emergency surgery. We provide flexible scheduling and competitive salaries.
The second opening is unique and involves providing rescue medicine at our fully equipped small animal rescue practice in Sterling Heights, MI. This facility deals exclusively with 501(c)(3) rescue organizations. Duties would include routine and involved care, vaccines, high volume spay and neuters and daily consultation with rescue groups.
The third position is tailored for new or recent graduates. During the first six months we will provide an internship-like experience rotating through various departments (surgery, internal medicine, emergency, critical care, reproduction and rescue). This would be a great opportunity for an individual who would like to explore small animal medicine with exposure to a large volume and variety of cases with mentorship. After six months, there would be the option to pursue a specific interest or area within the practice. Schedule is flexible and salary is very competitive with other new/recent graduate positions.
