The Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center (EMC) in Leesburg, Virginia is seeking a successful candidate to be responsible for administration and management of the business office and client services. These responsibilities include direction and oversight of the following: budget preparation and analysis, accounting, and all financial functions at the EMC including accounts payable, accounts receivable, audits, and patient accounts; client reception and admissions, client scheduling and communications, medical records and the switchboard; EzyVet, patient accounts, and client satisfaction; human resources and payroll and supervision of staff in these areas.

Masters degree in Business Administration or other business related field, or equivalent training and experience; professional experience performing financial and accounting functions such as budgeting, cost benefit analysis and preparing detailed reports; demonstrated knowledge and experience with administrative information systems; proficiency in the use of spreadsheets and word processing software; strong attention to detail; previous supervisory experience; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred qualifications include knowledge of or previous working experience in a veterinary teaching hospital, specifically an equine practice; working knowledge of University policies and procedures; experience using database systems, such as Banner.
