We are an AAHA accredited 4 doctor mixed animal clinic looking to hire our 5th veterinarian. Currently, we have two full time large animal and two full time small animal veterinarians. We offer a supportive team environment where you can successfully practice high quality medicine with all of the tools you may need including in house Idexx Laboratory, ultrasound, and digital radiology. Our small animal support staff consists of two receptionists, 5 small animal technicians, and an on-site groomer. The clinic is open from 8-5 M-F and 8-12 on Saturdays. Scheduling is very flexible; Saturdays are split between small animal veterinarians (Currently every other weekend) and after-hours call is split between all clinics in the valley. You can expect to be on call 1-4 nights PER MONTH. We strive to provide a good work/life balance.
We are looking for a small animal veterinarian with at least 1-2+ years of experience. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with both medicine and surgery, and has great communication skills capable of maintaining our current level of service as well as expanding our current range of services.
The practice is located in Clarkston, Washington, which is in the far south east corner of Washington State. Between Clarkston and its sister city of Lewiston, Idaho immediately across the river the population is roughly 60,000; we service a total population area of approximately 100,000 including the surrounding cities. We are 30 minutes from Pullman, WA and Moscow, ID which are home to Washington State University and the University of Idaho respectively. We are 2 hours from the beautiful wine country in Walla Walla, WA, 2 hours from Spokane, and a 5-hour drive to the Boise, Portland or Seattle metropolitan areas. There are also abundant outdoor activities available in the local area including hunting, fishing, water sports, skiing, etc. The area is often mentioned as a "Sportsman's Paradise", and one of the best small cities in the country in which to live and raise a family.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience. Competitive base salary plus production, health insurance stipend, simple IRA retirement package and paid vacation. To assist in acquiring CE, we offer a generous CE package for you to gain additional skills or experience of your choice. We also bring in outside speakers for on-site staff and client education.
