Dear Colleague, We invite you to apply for an associate veterinary position at one of our exceptional three small animal hospitals. We are located in Western Pennsylvania just north of Pittsburgh. We practice exceptional medicine, surgery and dentistry and are looking for veterinarians to join our growing teams. Location https://www.visitpittsburgh.com/ We are extremely close to hiking, boating, fishing etc., at numerous locations including Moraine State Park, McConnell’s Mills, Buttermilk Falls and many others. https://www.dcnr.pa.gov/StateParks/FindAPark/MoraineStatePark/Pages/default.aspx https://www.dcnr.pa.gov/StateParks/FindAPark/McConnellsMillStatePark/Pages/ default.aspx http://www.beavercountypa.gov/Depts/RecTour/Pages/ButtermilkFallsPark.aspx We are also within a 2 hour drive to winter sports. https://www.7springs.com/ https://www.wispresort.com/ http://www.hiddenvalleyresort.com/ Professional sports are very popular in the area so be prepared to become a Pittsburgh Steeler, Pirate, and Penguins fan! (If you support another team, we will understand). Who We Are Our hospitals were founded on these basic premises: • To offer the best possible medicine, surgery, and dentistry to all our patients while providing excellent customer service to our clients. 724-355-6227 firstname.lastname@example.org SEVEN FIELDS/AVALON/BIG ROCK VETERINARY HOSPITALS • We have a “No Bad Juju” policy meaning there is no criticizing, no complaining, and no condemning anyone. That goes for other hospitals, other doctors, our clients, or each other. • Every person on our team has an equally important role to play and we all work together. Hours and Equipment Our hours differ at each hospital, but we offer extended and weekend hours to accommodate our clients. My husband and I were each single parents at one time, and we know what it is like to have to rush home from work, take care of the kids, and still need time to take care of our pets. The evenings and weekends are split between the doctors in order to provide our teams with an appropriate work-life balance. Our full time veterinarians are scheduled an average of 36-40 hours a week with shifts including daylight (9am-5pm), 2 evenings (12 pm-9pm) and every other weekend. There are no “on call” or emergency hours. When you go home, that time is yours (as it should be). We have digital radiographs both standard and dental, a full in house lab as well as a commercial lab for non urgent blood work, biopsies, etc., high speed dental equipment, ultrasound (at AVH and SFVH), companion animal LASER, and lots of other equipment. If you are interested in orthopedics or other services we do not currently offer, we would provide you with anything you need to pursue your dreams and passions. We use Cornerstone Software and are a paperless practice. Our appointment times are 20-40 minutes depending on what the presenting complaint is. Rechecks and vaccines are 20 and 30 minutes respectively, and all other cases that may need a work up are 40 minutes. We are still doing curbside care due to COVID-19, so once the virus is controlled, our times will go back down to 20-30 minutes. I do not see that happening in the near future. Teamwork Our doctors work as a team and often discuss cases, trade shifts, and cover if someone else has an emergency or is sick. They are routinely available to discuss blood work, radiographs, cytologies, medication recommendations, and provide assistance with surgery, and dentistry if needed. If you are interested, Dr. Ann periodically offers dental wet-labs. We are acutely aware of the emotional toll veterinary medicine can take, and are very pre-emptive in having open, honest discussions. Compensation Our associate veterinarians are paid extremely well. We offer pro-sal compensation so there is a base plus a monthly production bonus. Our production percentage is 20% across the board with very few exceptions. We do not decrease the production for refills, preventatives (flea and tick medications), and we do not put our doctors in “arrears” if they do not make their production. Our experienced associates all earned well over $110,000/ year in 2019 with some earning over $130,000/year. We are very generous and the sky is the limit! We offer PTO time, continuing education stipend of $1500/yr, a 401k, and we currently pay 50% of your healthcare which includes dental and vision. Contact Information We would love to start with a phone or zoom interview so we can all get to know each other a little better. Please contact us via email to email@example.com, or calling 724-355-6227. If after the phone/zoom interview you decide you would like to pursue this employment opportunity, we would be happy to provide transportation and accommodations for a face to face meeting and working interview. We are looking forward to meeting you. Sincerely, Dr. Ann Cirillo
