We serve two distinct client groups to achieve this aim– independent veterinary practice owners and industry clients – and are expanding our team through the addition of an industry consultant.
As a Blue Heron Consulting Industry Consultant, you will:
Serve as a dedicated general consultant and trusted advisor to each Territory Partner in your specific market, responsible for overseeing their development and professional growth
Develop and execute business strategy and communication for the market
Coordinate the efforts and report on the success of additional BHC Field Consultants working within your market
Travel throughout the United States and Canada to consult on the development, growth and sustainability of territory businesses
Analyze a territory taking into account market factors from within and outside of the territory
Convey strategy and plans in such a way that they will be adopted as practice by Territory Partner
Conduct business planning and goal setting strategy with Territory Partner that aligns with the goals of the market
Teach territory management, sales planning, execution and follow up
Demonstrate expertise in selected areas of specialty as defined by a combination of self-evaluation, client feedback and feedback from management

The right new team member will:
Possess a veterinary degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited institution.
Demonstrate experience leading without authority; be an influencer.
Consult with a diverse range of clients showcasing the ability to adapt consulting style based on client goals, personality, communication preference, skill level, etc.
Connect on a personal and professional level with business owners.
Develop a results-driven consulting strategy.
Assist in the development and execution of a strategic plan.
Give guidance and constructive feedback as needed in a field setting.
