The Veterinary Medical Center is a fun, collaborative emergency/specialty practice that focuses on providing high standards of care as well as promoting you to maintain a good quality of life. We are in search for Urgent Care Clinicians to work alongside our ER clinicians to ensure those patients with urgent, but non-emergent, needs can receive care in an efficient and compassionate manner. The VMC's Urgent Care Service will be the only Urgent Care Service in the Syracuse area offering 24/7 access to specialists and ER clinicians when you need to "phone a friend". Urgent Care Clinicians will focus only on patients with urgent needs, ensuring those more critical patients with complicated needs are managed by our team of experienced emergency clinicians and specialists. Urgent Care Clinicians will be staffed alongside ER clinicians, ensuring Urgent Care Clinicians remain focused to patients with non-emergent needs. Urgent Care Clinicians will work 3 12 hour shifts a week as full-time. We will also entertain clinicians interested in a part-time position. The VMC is a 18,000 sq ft hospital (with plans for upcoming expansion) that currently offers 24 hour emergency in addition to Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Radiology, Cardiology, Nutrition, Anesthesiology and Critical Care. In addition, within the VMC exists CARE, a complementary rehabilitation and pain management center. The Critical Care Service has its own technical team to ensure efficient case management. Attached to the VMC is an IDEXX reference laboratory, which enables accurate test results with a fast turnaround time for hospitalized patients.
