Cedar Plaza Veterinary Clinic is AAHA accredited with a long standing clientele since 1981! Martha Lake Veterinary Clinic is expanding the hospital with completion of construction anticipated by February 2025.The facility is expanding to a 5500 sq foot building with 11 exam rooms and multiple surgical suites. This position could be full time or part time with a ton of flexibility in scheduling. DVMs get above-market pay packages with no push for production or negative accruals. We are a team of 5 DVMs, 4 LVTs, and support staff at two locations with a DVM to staff ratio of 1:4 per shift.
New graduates are encouraged to apply and work with experienced DVMs for 12-24 months with an emphasis on tailored mentorship with a clear understanding of individual needs. Our new grads have been trained to perform enterotomies, cystotomies, and much more within one year of the mentorship. Apart from clinical aspects, we focus on work-life balance, time management, and honing leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Management and Relations
Deliver “gold standard medicine” to all patients, and communicate available options and expected outcomes for various treatment paths to the client.
Ensure clients feel empowered and without judgment in managing their pet’s healthcare.
Maintain a compassionate bedside manner, fostering strong client relationships while treating support staff respectfully.
Address cases promptly as they arrive, recognizing that workload distribution may vary, and ensure medical records are completed appropriately.
Veterinary Knowledge
Lead and supervise patient medical care, which includes:
Identifying client concerns and gathering comprehensive medical histories.
Conducting thorough physical examinations on patients.
Creating problem lists, differential diagnoses, and treatment or diagnostic plans.
Performing, ordering, and overseeing medical and surgical procedures.
Providing accurate case summaries and discharge instructions for cases seen during your shift.
Administrative Duties
Attend a minimum of 75% of all doctor meetings, typically held quarterly, as an offsite lunch.
Participate in the review process as needed.
Develop, contribute to medical protocols, help improve standards of medicine and patient care.
Exhibit effective communication and collaboration with clients, colleagues, supervisors, subordinates, and external contacts.
Respond positively to change, willingly accepting job assignments and additional responsibilities, while taking ownership of performance and duties.
Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making skills when guiding coworkers.

About Our Practice:
AAHA accredited
Cloud-based, paperless practice management software (evetpractice/Pulse).
Digital radiographs with external radiology consultation.
Digital dental radiographs.
In-house Abaxis lab: Chem, CBC machines.
In-house GE Versana Sonography for Focused Assessment.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30AM to 7PM; Saturday 9AM-4PM
Full-time DVMs typically work 3 to 4 days per week.
If working 3 days packages will be adjusted accordingly.
